ITINERARY |
Day
1 |
Arrival: 15 -20 Minute drive (Airport to Hotel) AIT representative will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transport you to your Kathmandu hotel. After having formal introduction, you are being served with welcome drink at the hotel. They will give you helpful tips for your time in Kathmandu. O/N Hotel

2 |
Kathmandu Sight-seeing: 3-4 hours. After breakfast, you are being prepared for joining a guided tour of the amazing sightseeing of the Kathmandu Valley. You can visit Durbar Square, Swayambhunath ‘Monkey’ Temple, the famous Hindu temple – Pashupatinath and the largest Stupa in Nepal – Boudhanath onwards at afternoon we gather for a pre trek briefing and introduction to your trek leader & make arrangements for your ‘trek pack’. In the Evening AIT organizes welcome dinner at a local restaurant

3 |
Fly to Paro from Kathmandu / drive to Thimpu (65 Kms./2 hrs.) tour briefing / overnight hotel,

4 |
A Full days sightseeing in Thimpu; a.m.-visit the Memorial Chortern of the Late King Jigme Dorje Wangchuk in the heart of Thimpu, the Tashichhodzong, "The Fortress of the Auspicious Religion." p.m.-a stroll downtown to the Handicraft Development Corporation which displays a variety of Bhutanese handicrafts. overnight hotel.

5 |
Thimpu- Paro (65 Kms./ 2 hrs.). a.m.- After breakfast a leisurely drive to Paro. p.m.- Drive through the Paro valley visit the Drukgyel Dzong/ Kyichu Lhakhang and the National Museum located in Ta Dzong / overnight hotel.

6 |
Paro: Excursion to Taktsang Lhakang. a.m.- After breakfast drive to Sartsham Chorten. Two hours of horse riding (optional) to Taktsang. After refreshment, a short trek to view the famous Taktsang Lhakhang (the "tigers nest"). p.m.- After lunch a slow downhill trek to Sartsham Chorten for the drive to the hotel / overnight.

Departure: You could catch up on some last minute shopping, Internate to your friends and family before departure to Airport or onwards to your next destination
