ITINERARY |
Day
1 |
Arrival: 15 -20 Minute drive. AIT representative will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transport you to your Kathmandu hotel. After having formal introduction, you are being served with welcome drink at the hotel. They will give you helpful tips for your time in Kathmandu. O/N Hotel.

Day
2 |
Kathmandu Sight-seeing: 3-4 hours. After breakfast, you are being prepared for joining a guided tour of the amazing sightseeing of the Kathmandu Valley. You can visit Durbar Square, Swayambhunath ‘Monkey’ Temple, the famous Hindu temple – Pashupatinath and the largest Stupa in Nepal – Boudhanath onwards at afternoon we gather for a pre trek briefing and introduction to your trek leader & make arrangements for your ‘trek pack’. In the Evening AIT organizes welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

3 |
Kathmandu to Nyalamu(3750m)-123Kms.
Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Kodari(Approx. 6 hours). After completing immigration and custom formalities drive up hill to Zhangmu. The Tibetan Guide will meet the Group on arrival at the check post we drive further to Neylam following BhoteKoshi River in a deep valley with some overflowing waterfalls. Proceed to Nyalamu. O/nt. in Nyalamu.

4 |
Nyalamu to Xegar(4350m)-214Kms.
Drive (Approx. 7 hours) to Xegar crossing two spectacular passes. Nyalamu pass (3800m) and Lalung La pass (5082m). This drive offers fantastic view of the high mountains including, Mount Everest(8848m) Jugal Himal, Mt. Makalu(8464m) etc. O/nt. in Xegar.

5 |
Xegar to Xigaste(3900m)-244Kms.
Drive (Approx. 7hrs) to reach Xigaste, the place of famous Tashilunpo Monastery and seat of panchen Lama until his death in 1989 with its huge Thangka wall which is clearly visible from the north side of the road O/nt. At Xigaste.

6 |
Xigaste to Gyantse(3950m)-90kms.
In the morning visit the Tashilunpo Monastery and the free bazaar of Xigaste. After lunch embark on a pleasant 2 hours drive to Gyantse. Here you visit the Khumbum Stupa and Phalkot Monastery. O/nt. in Gyantse.

7 |
Gyantse to Lhasa (3650m)-259kms.
The drive to Lhasa takes 08 hours, crossing 2 passes The Karo La (5010m) and Kamba La (4794m) pass and lake Yamdrok Tso(Turquoise Lake). You will cross the Yarlung Tsangpo(Brahamaputra) river and see the distant views of the Potala Palace. O/nt. at Hotel

Lhasa Sightseeing Tour.
Visit the Potala Palace, Norbulinka Palace, &Drepung O/N at Hotel.

Lhasa Sightseeing Tour.
Sera Monastery, Lokhang Temple & Markhor Bazaar. O/night at Hotel.

10 |
Lhasa to Kathmandu Trans Himalayan Flight.
Transfer to Gonggar Airport which takes 2 hours driving. The flight duration is 1hr and 10 minutes and it is one of the most beautiful flight in the world. on your flight you shall see the Yalung Tsangpo River, Lake Yamdruk, kancenjunga (8586m), Makalu(8463m) and Mt. Everest(8848m).

Departure: You could catch up on some last minute shopping, Internate to your friends and family before departure to Airport or onwards to your next destination
