Day 01
Arrival: 15 -20 Minute drive from Airport to Hotel. AIT representative will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transport you to your Kathmandu hotel. After having formal introduction, you are being served with welcome drink at the hotel. They will give you helpful tips for your time in Kathmandu. O/N Hotel.
Day 02
Kathmandu sight seeing tour & Trekking preparation. Today after breakfast we will start a guided tour to several major historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddha Nath) which is one of the large Stupas in the world. After completed city tour In the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we can meet our trek leader and other team members. Day 03
Kathmandu to Besishar onwards drive to Sangya abour 8-9 Hours. Early morning start to make the bus journey around 6 hours to Besisahar & continue drive to Sangya, the starting point of the trek. Your adventure begins! Passing through many small villages on the way will fascinate you with snippets of every day living in these lowland villages.
Day 04
Sangya to Dharapani 6-7 Hours. Your first day’s walk involves crossing a few suspension bridges, waterfalls, several up and down hill sections, across rice paddies and subtropical forest. day you enter the Manang district after passing fields of corn, barley and potatoes and then through forests of bamboo and Rhododendrons. Dharapani (1950m) is where you spend the night,the first of many villages you will encounter with typical Tibetan architecture.
Day 05
Dharapani to Chame 6-7 Hours. Today you will negotiate a few steep forested ridges, along with several landslides on route, remember to look up though, as you will receive some sensational views of major Himalayan peaks. Your target for the night is Chame at 2,630m.
Day 06
Chame to Pisang 5-6 Hours. A narrow steep path through a very dense forest will bring you to the dramatic curved rock face, rising 1500m from the river. As the trail opens up you will be surround by Himalayan Peaks all the way to Upper Pisang, at 3700m.
Day 07
Pisang to Manang 3-4 Hours. Enter the upper Manang region, where the rainfall is much lower. You will notice much contrast with the landscape and vegetation; the cold arid climate creates a much harsher environment. This area is a fascinating mix of barren cliffs and exotic rock formations in contrast to the snow covered Himalayan peaks. You have entered another world; Manang Village is set at 3500m.
Day 08
Manang Acclimatize. This is necessary for acclimatization. The village itself is fascinating, there are also some spectacular side trips not far away. The glacial lake below the ice-fall is mandatory.
Day 09
Manang to yak Kharka 3-4 hours. Start the 2000m ascents up to the Throng La Pass. Today is a short walk up to Yak Kharka, a small settlement set at 4090m. Gradual ascent is the key to avoiding altitude problems.
Day 10
Yak Kharka to Throng Phedi 3-4 hours. Make your way to the foot of the pass, Throng Phedi (4600). A small although busy settlement catering to the needs of a multitude of trekkers and climbers that use this point as a base camp.
Day 11
Throng Phedi to Throng la pass to Muktinath 6-7 hours. Across Throng La pass 5,416m. An early start is important in order to cope with the long day over the pass. Challenging, however very rewarding. Crossing this infamous pass will take you into a world beyond reality. It is truly one of life's magical moments! Descend to Muktinath at 3800m. Which is one of the famous pilgrimages place in Nepal. You'll see good combination between two different religion.
Day 12
Muktinath to Jomsom 5-6 hours. The country today is quite surreal as you trek along a plateau above the Kali Gandaki, the world's deepest gorge. Similar to Tibet the landscape is wild and barren, at times you will feel completely isolated, it is almost Erie, giving you an out of this world experience. Descend further to a more comfortable elevation and temperature; it is extraordinary how the landscape changes in days walk. Spend the night at Jomsom.
Day 13
Jomsom to Kalopani 5-6 hours. Follow the bank of the holy river crossing many apple field and chorten via Marpha with Enjoy with the view of Dhaulagiri Glacier, Nilgiri and Tibetan land, culture and renowned for an assortment of apple delicacies.Hiking Through by Kaligandaki Valley and O/N at Kalopani 2590m.
Day 14
Kalopani to Tatopani 5-6 hours. Emerge back into subtropical forests, lush with vegetation. Villages today are more frequent enjoy observing the everyday lives of the local village people. Pass through by the deepest gorge. Stay the night at Tatopani (1200m) and relax in the hot springs.
Day 15
Tatopani to Shika 5-6 hours. A steep climbing and genteelly through many villages and good by to kaligandaki river and ascending highly to Shika where viewing spectacular view of Dhaulagiri and other saveral peaks. O/N at Shika 2056m.
Day 16
Shika to Ghorepani 4- 5 hours. Again steeply climbing and genteelly up to Ghorepani (2850m) today. You will stay here the night in order to make the climb up Poon Hill early in the morning. From this point you receive spectacular unobstructed views of the Himalayan.
Day 17
Ghorepani to Poon hill to Tadapani 5-6 hours. To catch the magnificent splendor of sunrise over the Himalayas, we make an early morning climb along the steep trail to the viewpoint of Poon Hill (3200mtrs). Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft) is a great viewpoint from where we will be able to enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Mustang part and Pokhara valleys including the closest views of more than 20 highest mountains including the close-up views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The snowy peaks of the high mountains loom above and around us glowing in the morning light. After taking photos and having some coffee, tea or hot chocolate, we return back to Ghorepani. After breakfast, head east and climb a nearby ridge. Descend through rhododendron forest, pass by small mountain villages and spectacular waterfalls along the way to Tadapani.
Day 18
Tadapani to Ghandruk : 3-4 hours. From Tadapani, we make a steep descent through the dense and dark forest. This part of the trek is through a thick forest of old rhododendron trees. When the rhododendron trees are in bloom, these forests actually turn into gardens of dazzlingly beautiful flowers, mostly red, when seen from the air or from far. By afternoon, depending upon the season of travel, we will be pleasantly surprised by the sight of some cherry blossoms in bloom on the slopes on the other side of the ravine. After trekking some more minutes, we enter the village of Ghandruk, a slope settlement with stone houses mostly inhabited by the Gurung people. Along with enjoying the stunningly close-up towering views of Fishtail, Annaurna South, and Hiuchuli mountains, we also acquaint ourselves with the simple but rich cultural traditions of the Gurung people at the Gurung Museum in Ghandruk.
Day 19
Ghandruk to Pokhara: 4-h hours hiking & 1 hour drive
Today, we trek from Ghandruk to Naya Pul then drive to Pokhara. The trek is downhill all the way to Birethanti. We step onto a staircase paved with stone slabs, curving in and out of the village and then terraced farms. It keeps going down almost without breaks from Ghandruk until Modi Khola river valley. By the time we arrive at Birethanti, some of us would feel like having made a downhill marathon. But our marathon is not over yet. From Birethanti, a half-an-hour’s walk takes us to Naya Pul. The journey on foot comes to an end at Nayapul. Then we drive from Nayapul to Pokhara.
Day 20
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu, 6-7 hours drive
Morning we’ll drive back through the scenic countryside and en route will stop for breakfast & lunch. It takes 7 hours back to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu guide will transfer to the hotel and rest of the day relax or explore the surrounding areas and overnight at hotel.
Day 21
Departure: You could catch up on some last minute shopping, Internate to your friends and family before departure to Airport or onwards to your next destination.
