Staff welfare / Porter Protection Policy

We believe in taking responsibility and caring for all of our staff from Trek Leaders / Guides to Sherpas, Cooks and Porters. We ensure good pay, life insurance, helicopter evacuation, as well as the equipment and clothing needed for porters and each member of staff. They are our kith and kin as well as the backbone of trekking in Nepal. No wonder all of the staff including porters want to work for us over and over again. We have set some noticeable guidelines, which we are applying in our trips as a Porter Protection Policy.

  • Fair weight around 25 kilos only
  • Same standard of medical care for Porters / trek staff / trek members
  • Arrangement of Food and Accommodation
  • Accidental / medical insurance
  • No porter is asked to return from the middle of trek
  • We provide required trekking gears for all the porters like Gortex wind & water proof jacket and trousers, fleece jacket, woolen warm hat, woolen gloves, woolen socks, trekking shoes / boots, sunglasses etc
  • In no circumstances a sick porter can be sent back alone but with someone who speaks same language and understands the problem.
  • Sufficient financial support will be provided to sick porter and helper to cover the cost of their return and treatment.

We are committed to minimizing the negative impact of tourism and enable you to ' Take only photos, Leave only footprints. We cook using kerosene or LPG gas and bring back all non-biodegradable items back to Katmandu from all trips. Being a member of KEEP (Katmandu Environmental Education Project). We are TAAN (Trekking Agencies Association Nepal), NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association) and contributor of their environmental and educational awareness programs on sustainable tourism with manageable growth and minimal environmental impact.



Hassle Free Travel

Traveling with Adventure International, we take care from the airport to airport (arrival to departure), all your accommodation and transportation is taken care of. The hotels in the towns and cities are well located, have private facilities and, in the tropics, are air-conditioned and often have pools. Private transportations are used on all longer road journeys to guarantee our freedom to explore and to increase your comfort. Entrance fees are included for all the culture heritage sites, parks and activities listed in the itineraries. While on trek we offer you the free use of trekking and climbing gears.

We believe in organizing small group to deliver the quality services so when you join a Adventure International trekking or climbing trip, you travel with a maximum of just Eight fellow travelers.
